I am an avid gamer and a college student. This laptop satisfies both needs. I almost spent $2,500 on an Alienware gaming laptop, but when the budget couldn't handle it, I settled for this Toshiba. My expectations were not high, but they should have been. Huge memory, lightning fast, and just enough of a graphics card to run most games without any problems. I run The Sims 3, Elder Scrolls, Civilization IV, and OOTP X without any lag. None. Fantastic AND comes with a free upgrade to Windows 7.
